EIT Jumpstarter is an annual competition programme for innovators, organized within the thematic areas of the Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) under the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). The EIT Jumpstarter program aims to assist potential entrepreneurs in enhancing their business skills and networks, issuing regular calls for this purpose each year. With a thematic programme spanning 7 months, focusing on creating deep technology for economic growth, stability, and social impact, it is designed to address the fundamental challenges encountered by potential entrepreneurs when establishing their own companies through education, coaching, and business development services.
The application period for the EIT Jumpstarter programme, which ended on April 16, 2023, a notable participation from Turkish ecosystem was recorded. Türkiye, having submitted the second-highest number of applications for the EIT Jumpstarter programme, secured a position in the top three among the countries of the Horizon Europe participating to the EIT Jumpstarter programme.
The 2023 programme is finalized with trainings, coaching and business creation services. At the EIT Jumpstarter Final Event held at the end of 2023, awards were distributed to the top three teams in eight thematic areas. Among the 39 teams that made it to the final, six were selected from Türkiye, with each of these teams receiving awards at various levels.
